By K Chris Life is hard, everybody knows that, but in times of recession, it is a lot harder. There are days when people have no idea how they are going to make ends meet until their next paycheck. When you have money trouble, it can seem like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and you will want to bury your head in the sand. You shouldn't do this though because you will be on the path to more debt and even more worry. You have to face your problems head on and make some changes in your life. If you are worrying about money all the time, you might be living above you means and you should cut back and change the way you live. You can make changes in every element to your life.If you are reading this as you are pulling your hair out with worry, then you have made the first step. You have already realized that you need to change and you have asked for help by searching for saving tips on the Internet. Therefore, stop worrying, get yourself a brew, sit back and read on.1. Shopping for groceries - Groceries might be one of the most expensive parts of your life. You probably buy the branded items and you don't try and save money in this area at all. It might have been instilled in you in younger life that you should only buy brands, if you have ever heard the phrase 'roller cola' on the school playground that you know the point that is going to be put across. DON"T BUY BRAND NAMES. Buy the stores own brand because they are a lot cheaper and just as tasty. If you must buy brands then you need to look on the sale aisle. Sometimes items that are damaged are put up for sale on the sale aisles and there is nothing wrong with them. Well, the package will be damaged, but the contents of the item are fine.2. Do you need a car? - if you live on a transport route and you are the only person who uses the car, you might be better using public transport. If you don't want to give up your car, then you should advertise for a car pool in the place where you work. Therefore, you can save money on the cost of petrol and you can drive into work with your friends.3. Store cards - Unless these cards are loyalty cards, you should pay them off and never use them again. Store cards have the highest interest rate and will cost you a fortune over time. If you have a loyalty card, then you can keep that, as long as you are building up your points to get free items in the future.4. Clothes - You probably have more clothes than you need, so you should be thinking about selling some on eBay and buying new items in the sales or from the thrift store. Therefore, you can make money and buy the items that you need for a lot less money.5. Travelling - With all the stress of money problems, you will need a holiday. You are probably thinking that this is the last thing you should be doing. However, you can get a break within the UK for less than you might spend on groceries. You will just have to book tickets months in advance and stay in hostels, which are a lot cheaper and friendlier than hotels. You will meet like minded people in hostels and you will learn to see your destination without spending much money.
